What are my options?

Let me preface this by saying that this is not an exhaustive list of the possible treatments you can get for endometriosis. The only treatment that I personally received for endometriosis was Wide Excision surgery done by a qualified specialist. This procedure was such a success that I now have very “normal” periods with little-to-no discomfort. In contrast, before excision, I was bedridden and living on prescription pain relievers. Not only am I feeling amazing two years post-op, but my ovarian function is back to normal and I have no cysts (if you want to see the statistics from my specialist, check them out here). I tend to view anything other than Excision as a potential short-term fix only because of the horror stories that I have heard from many friends who were treated with non-excision procedures or medications. There are lifestyle changes that you can make that can significantly decrease the symptoms that you are experiencing, but these changes will not remove the endometriosis from your body. Only Excision actually removes the endometriosis cells from inside of your body.
